RETURN FROM THE 2014 VINITECH – SIFEL TRADESHOW

The 2014 Vinitech – Sifel tradeshow was held from December 2 – 4 at the Bordeaux Exhibition Center. This event is the international gathering dedicated to equipment and services in the wine, fruit and vegetable sectors.

The event brought in 44,160 visitors, who could get informed through attending conferences in addition to meeting with any of the 850 exhibitors.

 

Among the exhibitors, the BARRE Company was present at the Fruits and Vegetables division. The LIFE-PHYTOBARRE project was shown to visitors of the BARRE Company stand.

RETURN FROM THE RDV TECH&BIO FAIR

On the initiative of the Chambers of Agriculture, the RDV Tech&Bio PACA fair took place on October 14 in Mallemort, at La Pugère. This event was dedicated to the techniques and problems of perennial crops, vines and fruit tree species of the Mediterranean basin. Its goal was to introduce crop techniques and promote exchanges and transfers between organic and conventional farming.

This event brought together 1,200 visitors who had the opportunity to inform themselves via demonstrations, lectures, a hall of exhibitors, and workshops.

 

Among the participants, LIFE-PHYTOBARRE was present at the “management of phytosanitary effluents by natural degradation” workshop. The project was presented and exhibited to the public, who could also visit the demonstrator installed at La Pugère. The filming and sociological team also used the event to meet with visitors to the fair.

THE SOCIAL RECEPTION TO INNOVATION

The first results from the sociological survey on the social reception to innovation, from the project start-up phase, are now available.

This social approach to the reception of innovation involves focusing on the target group composed of farmers, who have agreed to be full players in in the process. In addition to the analysis of their motivation, their position is situated in a professional practice trajectory. These paths will thus be affected by innovation: what are the driving forces behind the beginning evolutions in modifications of practice? What are the driving forces regarding the concerns about the environment, occupational health, and public health in general?

RDV TECH&BIO

The experimental arboricultural station La Pugère hosted the Rendez-Vous Tech&Bio fair of PACA for perennial crops on October 14, 2014.

This event is dedicated to organic and alternative techniques in viticulture and arboriculture in the PACA region. It is aimed at professionals in the organic or conventional crop sectors.
